Hyères to Porquerolles by boat: the winter timetable from La Tour Fondue

From 2 November 2026 to 14 February 2027 TLV-TVM runs its low-season timetable between La Tour Fondue, where the Giens peninsula ends in Hyères, and Porquerolles harbour. A return costs €17.70 and tickets are sold only at the ticket offices.

Winter thins out the Porquerolles boats. Between 2 November 2026 and 14 February 2027, TLV-TVM schedules no more than eight sailings a day from La Tour Fondue, the first at 07:30 and the last at 17:45, while the final return from the island leaves at 17:15. The low season also changes how you buy: TLV takes no bookings and sells nothing online, so you pay at the kiosk before boarding.

The day of the week matters. On Sundays and bank holidays the early 07:30 and 07:00 boats are dropped. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there is no 16:45 from La Tour Fondue or 16:15 from the island, and outside school holidays the midday boat leaves at 12:30 on Wednesdays, and on Saturdays too according to TLV's website. These times come from TLV-TVM's timetable page, cross-checked on 29 October 2026 against the company's printed 2026 guide.

Fares follow the calendar as well. In the November-to-March column of TLV's 2026 price list, a return costs €17.70 for adults and concessions alike, against €22.00 for an adult in October.

Low-season fares and who pays less

La Tour Fondue, not Hyères harbour

Hyères has two departure points for the islands. Porquerolles boats use the pier at La Tour Fondue, at the end of the Giens peninsula; TLV's boats for Port-Cros and Le Levant leave instead from Hyères harbour (Port Saint-Pierre), which has its own ticket office on +33 4 94 57 44 07.

The ticket office opens half an hour before the first boat of the day, and boarding starts on the captain's word 15 minutes before each departure. Three pay car parks lie a few steps from the pier, two of them open all year; one, the TPM car park, is open round the clock and takes phone bookings.

Between November and the end of March the island kiosk opens only 5 to 10 minutes before the first departure from Porquerolles; a return bought at La Tour Fondue already covers the trip back. Keep that ticket for the trip back: the crew check it at every boarding.

From the Giens peninsula to Porquerolles harbour

Boats leave from the very end of the Giens peninsula and berth in Porquerolles harbour, on an island that TLV describes as a protected site attached to Port-Cros National Park. TLV's FAQ and its printed guide give different crossing times, so this page does not quote one.

Tickets, luggage, bikes and dogs

  • Pay at the kiosk

In low season there is no booking and no online sale. Buy before you board, at La Tour Fondue or on the island, by card, cheque or chèques vacances.

  • Leave the car on the mainland

TLV's fare list covers passengers and bikes only. Three pay car parks sit beside the pier, two of them open all year.

  • Luggage

You must be able to carry and stow your own bags without help. Oversized items can be refused and sent by TLV's freight service instead.

  • Bikes cost extra

TLV's fares page shows €17 return for an adult bike and €14.50 for a child's bike. The printed guide only says bikes are charged, so confirm the price at the kiosk.

  • Wheelchairs

Boats from La Tour Fondue have a ramp for manual and powered wheelchairs, but access is subject to conditions: ring +33 4 94 58 21 81 before travelling.

  • Dogs

Dogs travel free on a lead or in a carrier, but TLV notes that they are not allowed on the beaches. Pushchairs are free too; you may be asked to fold yours on a busy boat.

Getting to the pier without a car

Mistral, the bus network of the Toulon area, runs route 67 from Hyères town centre (Joffre) to La Tour Fondue. TLV suggests parking free at the Arromanches park-and-ride in Hyères and catching the 67 from the stop opposite. TLV boats do not accept Mistral bus tickets: they are a separate public service, contracted by the same metropolitan authority.

If you are based in Toulon, the Mistral network also operates the water-bus from Toulon to Les Sablettes across the harbour. TLV says it sails 365 days a year under its public-service contract, and it states that its boats run on Christmas Day and on New Year's Day. Further east in the Var, a Bateaux Verts shuttle crosses the Gulf of Saint-Tropez from Sainte-Maxime.

Winter day trips to Porquerolles: your questions

Where exactly do Porquerolles boats leave from?

From the pier at La Tour Fondue, in the Hyères district of Giens. Hyères harbour (Port Saint-Pierre) is a different pier, used for Port-Cros and Le Levant.

Can I book a Porquerolles ticket online for a November trip?

No. From 2 November 2026 to 14 February 2027 TLV takes no reservations and has no online sales. You buy at the kiosk on the day.

When does the La Tour Fondue ticket office open?

The ticket office opens 30 minutes before the first boat, and boarding begins 15 minutes before departure. TLV's rules ask passengers to have their ticket ready at least 5 minutes before the boat leaves.

Does a return ticket tie me to a particular boat back?

Not if you bought it without a booking: TLV says such a ticket can be used on the line whenever you like within the year of validity printed on it. Keep it and show it at each boarding.

Can I visit Porquerolles on Christmas Day?

Yes. TLV says it is open on 25 December, and on New Year's Day too. As they are public holidays, the 07:30 from La Tour Fondue and the 07:00 from Porquerolles do not run.

Is a concession fare worth it in winter?

Not for a return: from November to March the reduced return and the adult return cost the same, €17.70. Under-4s are still free.

What happens if the weather turns while I am on the island?

TLV reserves the right to change or cancel sailings without notice in bad weather. Bear in mind that the last scheduled boat back to the mainland leaves Porquerolles at 17:15.
