Boats in the Pays de la Loire: the Loire at Nantes and the Île d'Yeu

A city river shuttle in Loire-Atlantique and a sea crossing from the Vendée coast to the Île d'Yeu.

In Nantes the Loire separates the city from Rezé, on the south bank. A shuttle boat belonging to the local public transport network crosses between the Gare Maritime stop and Trentemoult, and you ride it on an ordinary network ticket. Further south, in the Vendée, Yeu Continent sails from the Fromentine terminal, in the commune of La Barre-de-Monts, to Port-Joinville on the island.

The two have little in common. One is a few minutes of city transport; the other is a sea crossing with bookings, more than one kind of boat and its own fare table. Each page names the pier, the dates its timetable covers and when it was last checked.
